Dennis Palafox (aka "El Ganador"–Spanish for "Winner") has been birding for about 15 years when he was inspired to take the plunge after taking Dr. Birdie’s Sparrow Class. His claim to fame is being an emeritus member of the Shorebird Class, having to take it more times than anyone else (he’s a slow learner). He’s Chair of the Field Trip Committee and on the TAS Board.

Why I will win: I call on the spirit of the Ganador Lucha Libre statue In front of City Hall that was viciously torched. It will rise from the ashes like a phoenix to lead me to victory!!!! Also, old age and treachery beats youth and skill every time!!!
