Celebrate Urban Birds - Beginner Bird Walk at Mayfield Park

Travis Audubon has joined forces with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department to increase enjoyment and knowledge of the birds that frequent our neighborhood parks and backyards.  

Come visit Mayfield Park and Laguna Gloria right next door. Bring binoculars if you have them, and dress for the weather. Trails can be slippery and muddy if wet, so good footwear is a must.

We hope to see and hear birds like wintering Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, Yellow-rumped and Orange-crowned Warblers, and the usual cheerful suspects like titmice, cardinals, and chickadees.

Limited to 30 people. Will be split into two groups with one group going to Laguna Gloria first.  Leaders are Dennis Palafox and Jane Tillman. Registration required.
