Lee Wallace, Sharon Richardson, Judith Bailey, Nancy Radding, Nancy Townsen, Kim Soechting, Judie Tasch, Monica Soloman, and Frances Cerbins met at the beautiful Radha Madhav Dham Hindu Temple in Driftwood for a great morning of birding. We walked the property through the prairie and stream then we hiked up Friday Mountain for a spectacular view. We were guided by Roy who provide a golf cart and told us about the history of the Temple.  It was a great day and we saw 38 bird species before we feasted at the nearby Salt Lick.

You can take part too! Birdathon participants plan an afternoon or day of birding and compete individually or as a team to win awards for highest bird species count and highest donations collected. Much like a walkathon, fundraisers collect pledges to raise money for conservation.
